Kindergarten Information
We are licensed to cater for 40 children in the morning from 8.45am to 12.45pm. 20 children go home at 12.45pm and 20 remain for an extended session that includes lunch and concludes at 2.45pm. The number of families on our roll is approximately 53.
Not all children attend all available sessions, however we require children to attend a minimum of 3 sessions per week.
Our administrator works part time Monday to Friday 9am-11am so if the phone is not answered when you call, please leave us a message and we will endeavour to get back to you as soon as we can. Alternatively, you can send us an email: glamorgan@naka.co.nz

Friday from 8:45 am to 1:00 pm
Kindergarten Days (a minimum of two):

How to Enrol Your Child
Your child needs to be enrolled on the kindergarten waiting list on or around their 2nd birthday. As we are not zoned children can be enrolled from any area around the kindergarten. You just need to fill out a form to put your child on the waiting list. You will be notified when their starting date is getting close and invited to the kindergarten to visit and complete forms. These forms will include Attestation (20 ECE hours), Cybersafety, Getting to know you. Also at this stage we will need to sight a copy of your child's immunisation records and if arriving from overseas a copy of the passport / residency records. You and your child will be shown around the kindergarten and meet the teaching staff.
Current Entry Age
Our current entry age is 3 years 6 months. This can change as children leave kindergarten to attend school. Children who are turning the entry age and have been on the waiting list the longest will be offered a place first. Children who have transferred to the district, are of the correct age and have been attending kindergarten already, will get priority. The waiting list is the responsibility of the Head Teacher and Administrator.

Get Involved
Joining a Kindergarten Committee is not only very rewarding but is a great way for parents and caregivers to play an active part in the life of their kindergarten community and help the kindergarten to flourish. By supporting and cooperating with each other, Committees and teachers can achieve long lasting benefits for the kindergarten and aide it’s smooth running. Committees can support the teachers to achieve their visions and goals for the kindergarten by:
* Helping to create a welcoming, inclusive and respectful environment for families and children
* Assisting with fund raising for additional resources or large projects
* Providing support for the Teachers with the running of events such as excursions and social events.
* Assisting with minor maintenance of buildings, grounds and equipment (such as lawn mowing, gardening, equipment cleaning or repairs etc)
