Our History

Mahurangi Public Kindergarten recently celebrated its biggest make-over in 27 years with a Maori blessing, followed by a family barbeque.

The kindergarten community culminated its five years of fundraising and saving by opening its doors to past and present whanau and community members.

Rodney Mayor Penny Webster spoke of the important role that kindergarten plays in communities.

The $150 000 renovation would not have been possible without the generous support of the Northern Auckland Kindergarten Association, The Lion Foundation and the community of Warkworth who have supported our fundraising ventures whole-heartedly over the years.

We would also like to thank Lamb and Molloy Surveyors and Mason bins for their kind donations of time and services.The kindergarten is now looking forward to the next 27 years in the amazing community of Warkworth.
