Our Kindergarten Team

Oaktree Kindergarten offers a stimulating, respectful environment that encourages children to engage in play that is rich and meaningful. The teaching team are all fully qualified and registered teachers who believe that children have the right to a challenging, safe yet stimulating environment that engages them in the journey of lifelong learning.

We run a programme that integrates Te Whaariki, the Early Childhood Curriculum, with aspects of the Reggio Emillia approach.

I have been teaching for about 20 years. I had a few years off teaching to be a mum at home with my three children, William, Ella and Tom. I have a very supportive husband Robert and a dog called Abbey. We live locally. I love the North Shore for its friendly community and wonderful beaches. I am passionate about teaching and really enjoy being part of a wonderful team of teachers. I look forward to getting to know you and your child.

Hello, this is me! I have 2 lovely girls and am married to Kevin. Both my girls attended Oaktree Kindergarten and I always say I came to Kindy and never left! I love my work here at Kindergarten and enjoy all the interaction with the children.

Kia Ora, I'm Tania. I have recently moved over to the shore. I have been teaching for 10 years both here and in Australia. My interests when I'm not at kindergarten are shopping, movies, dining out and spending time with my friends and family.

Kia Ora! My name is Tina and I have lived in the East Coast Bays area for ten years. During weekends you will often find my partner, myself and my seven year old son in our kombi, exploring the amazing parks and beaches our area offers. I began my teaching career in the primary sector where I have twelve years experience and have recently completed Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood Education.

Kia Ora Koutou! Hello everyone, my name is Debbie. I live locally with my lovely man Geoff and we have five children between us. I taught for 10 years before moving away from teaching and taking a long break to have my two girls. It was during this time that I became involved with a children's music company , so still working with children but in a different environment. Last year I returned to teaching as a reliever and I'm really excited to now be able to call Oaktree my "home" kindergarten and be a part of this lovely community.
