History
Rangitoto Kindergarten was established in 1978 through the efforts of a dedicated and committed local community. The 30th anniversary of our kindergarten gave us the opportunity to celebrate the special place the kindergarten has within the community.
Visitors to the kindergarten often comment on the ‘feel’ of the kindergarten and this is very much due to the people and relationships within the kindergarten.
The kindergarten has recently undergone extensive landscaping and building renovations. We have been very fortunate over the years in having parents, committees and teaching teams with the vision to see these projects come to fruition. The kindergarten is very well resourced and has a environment that encourages children to explore and discover
The kindergarten holds many well supported and enjoyable family/whänau events annually; the Rangitoto Kindergarten year is an event attended by the whole community, a children’s trike-a-thon, disco, transition to school information evening and the Mairangi Bay Christmas Parade.
Our waiting list reflects the community support of the kindergarten and the teaching team are passionate and dedicated to ensuring a high quality education programme for the children at Rangitoto Kindergarten.
