Silverdale Kindergarten opened in October 2005 in temporary facilities located in the old Silverdale Primary School grounds after the long term efforts of an establishment committee that first formed in 2002.
The kindergarten has now relocated to its new premises in Longmore Lane, part of a large new development off Silverdale Parkway.
The kindergarten serves a widespread area including Silverdale, Stillwater, Red Beach, Orewa, Wainui, Waitoki, Waiwera, Puhoi and Dairy Flat. The socio economic profile of the community varies greatly. The kindergarten is strongly supported by the extended community and has good liaison with the local schools, particularly Silverdale School, whose new grounds we now operate from.
